We adopted Godiva from the Humane Society in Fall 2019. Our eldest son has special needs and she was an emotional support dog of sorts for him. As she has aged she has become more protective of her family. We have never had any problems with our small children but she can be protective of her people around strangers. This has become something we cannot predict and cannot commit, with young kids in the house, that they will not let her out of the house when delivery drivers show up or workmen come to the house. She needs a home in the country or where there will be a lot of routine and not many new people or environments. She is a precious dog and we are sick that we feel we need to rehome her.
