What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Mitzy is a wonderful companion dog. She is somewhere near 9 years old. We're not quite sure as she was adopted as an adult dog. Although she has abandonment anxiety, she is housebroken.
We understand that she doesn't play well with other animals.
She has a loving personality and is protective of her person and her status.
She prefers a calm and quiet home.
She is up to date with all of her 1yr. vaccinations. She has no aggressive issues with the vet or staff. (She just isn't comfortable with other dogs/pets)
She has had a lot of anxiety recently. The death of my husband affected her greatly as he was with her most of the day, every day, for the 4 months before he passed away suddenly.
Unfortunately, we have to sell our home. At 56 lbs. Mitzy is just large enough to be unwelcome at most of the places we have access to move to. Unfortunately we don't have any other options. I would prefer her to live with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children.
