What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Koda is a 4 yr old neutered Malamute, 80 lbs. He is being rehomed for no fault of his own, I am currently fostering. Will be best in a home that knows Malamutes or willing to read up (my first Mal foster and we're doing fine).
Koda is talkative, affectionate, and smart. He loves couch cuddles and is happy with a moderate amount of exercise. House trained, not destructive if left home alone. Doesn't pull the leash, good in the car. He is most motivated by approval and affection (also likes cheese). Lived with cats and a small dog, seems to miss other dogs. I have not personally seen him with dogs his size, but his previous owner told me he was fine with them.
Koda is cautious with new people & situations, but after only 2 weeks of getting to know his foster home he is a calm, trusting dog. He loves affection but wants his space to relax too. Like most Mals, no young kids please- teens 12+ are fine (lived w/ teens before). Once this guy is settled in, he will not stop giving you love.
