My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lacey is a gorgeous Flame Point beauty with dense soft fur.  She absolutely adores being petted and will purr and knead the whole time. She is very gentle and never shows any aggression, however, she is not comfortable being picked up and held, but is not difficult to get into a carrier and is a very good girl going to the vet. Lacey gets along with other dogs and cats and loves to sleep at the end of the bed or pressed against you on the sofa.

Lacey is playful and loves small soft toys and chasing little springs and balls.  She particularly likes the little fuzzy balls with metallic threads and will vocalize and carry them around, throwing them up in the air and batting them around.  Lacey was an outdoor stray brought to us very close to delivering a litter of kittens.  She gave birth to five gorgeous healthy babies and was an excellent mother.  Her babies are all adopted and now it is her turn to find the perfect home.

It is estimated that Lacey is around 4 years old.  During her spay, the vet also detected a heart murmur. We followed up with bloodwork (results were excellent) and an x-ray, which showed her heart was enlarged.  An echocardiogram was recommended and would be the responsibility of the adopter.  She recently had  fractured canine tooth removed.  She also appears to be a bit cross-eyed, and gets a little nervous with fast movements coming at her around the head.  -Lacey prefers dry food to wet food, and does seem to have a tendency to over-eat and is currently on a weight management food to keep her weight in check.  She does love the occasional treat of seafood-flavored wet food.

Lacey is currently in a loving foster home and has tested negative for FIV ad tond FELV.  She is microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed..

Please put in an adoption application on our website, cats-can.org, if you are interested in meeting her.  If you have any questions, please email us at catscaninc@gmail.com
