What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Wilco is a 5 year old Plott Hound who we've owned since she was a puppy. She is spayed, house and crate trained, and has been in extensive obedience training and LOVES to practice her skills. She does not have any dietary restrictions other than being a little picky (she likes some stock on her dry dog food) and her health has been top notch her whole life. She currently takes prozac to help with her anxiety, which she's had since we moved to Chicago in 2021.
Wilco is good around other dogs and hasn't spent much time around cats. She is nervous around small children, which is why we need to rehome her - she's been very cagey and a little growly around our baby, and we think she'd do better in a house without small children (under 5). She's totally fine with older kids and humans. She gets 60 minutes of exercise a day, loves pets but not to cuddle, and won't try to sleep on your bed (she prefers her crate).
