Ryder was born to an unexpected litter of a Plainfield Subdivision Residence. His siblings were rehomed and he lived with his birth mother and Plainfield family for 6 months until the residence has a medical emergency and was no longer fit to care for him.
He was fostered in a different Plainfield residence down the street for 4 months while the original owner was hopeful to recover. This foster home has 2 children (ages 10 and 11) and 2 dogs (male:9, female:3) and came to love Ryder. Due to tensions between Ryder and the existing male dog in the house, Ryder is now being fostered in a home where he is an only pet.
Ryder is high-energy and very lovable. He can enjoy playing fetch or tug for hours, and then will snuggle up and cuddle for hours more. He plays well with kids and meets strangers nicely. He loves being challenged to learn new commands and enjoys showing off what he knows (sit, stay, wait, drop-it, come, down, off, and more).
