Mick (also known as Home Boy Mick) was left alone after his owner died and the four other dogs and 14 puppies at the house were picked up by animal control. Mick is a sweetheart who longs to belong and be loved! He likes people, but is still afraid of being trapped or confined. He was finally captured in a group effort and is now in foster.
He wants to play with his foster siblings but has little idea about toys or balls ( though he is learning) We are still working on basics (like getting him comfortable with a leash and inside with closed doors. He will take time as he was traumatized by catchpoles and traps, but he has such a good disposition and is still young, so he will come around to family life.
Mick is great around school-age children who are patient and slow, though he still runs up to sniff or lick hands, then runs away. With some stability, care, and training, Mick will be a great family dog! Please consider him if you are looking for a slightly older pup with a huge, love-starved heart.
