If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Claude a year and a half ago. He has got more personality than any cat I have known. He is a muscular and playful cat. He loves playing chase with me and hide-and-go seek (seriously!). He loves sleeping under a blanket and being pet, but is not particularly fond of being picked up or spending too much time on laps.
He likes all people except moving babies (he has never been exposed to a new-born). My grandchildren and friends all love him. He probably should not live with other cats. We do not let him outside because he goes straight for the outdoor kitties and fights with them and he is sneaky and intent on getting outside to where they are. He has not been exposed to dogs so I do not know how he would do. My guess is with work, they might get along.
He needs people and with all of my husbands growing health issues I just cannot invest in him like he needs. He seems to need people around a lot.
