Location: Lexington, SC
Name: Karen
Age: 1 year
Breed: DSH - Calico
M/F: F
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & fvrcp; spayed with ear tip and tattoo, microchipped
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with kids and other cats; 100% fine with my dog which last adoptee witnessed and is why she chose her but was returned as she didn’t like adopter’s corgi for some reason
Aggression or medical issues?: no known medical issues; no aggression except when she was trying to get away from adoptee’s dog (if in lap of human she scratched them several times trying to run away from pup). Never tried to injure their pup, just would hiss and raise fur and try to get away - maybe pup was coming on too strong?
Reason for rehoming?: found stray that was TNR fixed but realized she was friendly; located in my indoor/outdoor room currently but yet to venture back outside
Additional info/story (personality):
Cuddle bug, lap cat, nonstop purring when pet, etc. were all examples last adoptee used to describe Karen about how Karen acted with her and her kid. She really wanted it to work, Karen just unfortunately didn’t like her specific dog for some reason and it simply wasn’t a match.

We are foster based only at this time.

Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue
In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
