My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nash is a very handsome 2 yr old terrier mix. He was adopted as a puppy and then returned to us recently.

Nash loves his family and became very protective of them. With the kids having their friends over, it was decided that Nash was no longer a good fit. A very difficult decision was made to return Nash.

A better suited home for Nash would be a quiet lifestyle with not a lot of company or an experienced family that understands Nash.

He is a very active boy and loves to play . (Sorry for the profile pics, he was more interested in playing with his jolly ball)

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A dogs adoption fee is $200. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
