My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Velcro is an extremely sweet cat who has never met a stranger in his life.
His favorite pastimes are watching Cat
TV, snuggling with his human, and playing fetch with his catnip mice. He has a lot of energy for his age (somewhere between 5-8 years old) and loves constant affection. He was acquired from an adoption shelter in June 2023 in New York after a year’s stay. His original origins are unknown, but he was found as a stray in a hoarding house.
Although Velcro is an easy-going cat, he does have feline herpes virus, which complicates things. He does have to be given I-lysine and gabapentin daily to stop his flare ups. Although Velcro is a great beginner cat temper wise, his diagnosis is not beginner friendly.
Extensive research on the disease should be done before consideration. I wasn't aware of Velcro’s condition before adopting him, and my lifestyle of being a travel nurse does not allow him to thrive with his diagnosis.
Looking for a stable loving home for him.
