Bear, this precious little boy is a Jack Russell/Beagle mix weighing only 11 lbs. He is 1 year old and full grown. Bear came back to us through no fault of theirs or his...His family was absolutely devastated....sometimes, things just don't work out. He is a very active little guy, will need a fenced yard for exploring, playtime and lots of exercise. One of his favorite things is following the spray from the water hose. As perfect as Bear can be, he gets grumpy and has resource guarding tendencies with his toys, etc. This is the Jack Russell in him. A family with an active life style and older children (over 12) would be ideal for Bear. He is loving, sweet, "over the moon cute" and only needs patience, a little training and understanding with his few quirks. Submit Application
Go to hsnwga.org to apply for a dog or cat. Once approved you can meet the dog or cat at our shelter and take them home.
2.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoption fees for dogs are $275 and up. All are age appropriately vetted and chipped.

During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
