Meet Little Bear. A cuddle bug! This sweet senior female wants nothing more than to hang out with her forever family. She has a happy little spirit that goes along with her wagging tail.

Little Bear is not shy and bonds quickly. She is potty trained and crate trained. She enjoys car rides. She is a true lap dog.

Little Bear has been through the ringer. She was an owner surrender along with her two 5 week old puppies. Then she suffered through Parvo at the shelter. Her puppies did also and one died. Her teeth were in terrible condition. She has since had a dental.

Little Bear is a healthy, happy girl that deserves a wonderful home. She would do best in a home with other small dogs or as the only dog. She is a bit intimidated by large dogs.
She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and HW tested.

A home visit is required to be sure it's a safe environment for the pet; i.e., no escape routes or other dangers.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the new pet gets along with all family members, you will sign our contract, pay the adoption fee, and take your new family member home!

More about this rescue

Our MIssion: Rescue abused, neglected, abandoned dogs. Address their medical needs and provide temporary homes until they are adopted.

Spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip all dogs that come into Me and My Shadow Dog Rescue, if needed.

Find good loving forever homes for these rescued dogs.

Assist small towns in NM with spaying/neutering of resident’s dogs through low-income voucher programs or mobile vet services.

Provide needed medical care for senior dogs with the goal to either make them adoptable or provide them with hospice care at a Me and My Shadow Dog Rescue foster home or sponsorship at a senior dog sanctuary.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, foster-based rescue organization.
