My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a big boy, weighing 24 pounds. I got him as a birthday present from my daughter last year, and the rescue said he was 2. Another cat, also male came with him, but was older, and became ill over the year. I had to put him to sleep 2 weeks ago. The vet thought it was kidney related. I began have urinary tract infections last summer. And since they have not been able to contain their business in the automatic litter box, and Smokey is in such distress with the loss of his buddy. I am going to move to a clean house and see if I can get healthy.
He is a very fearful cat, more so since he is alone. Over the year he has socialized better in the house with me, being able to come out and tolerate movement in the house. As you can see in the picture he was comfortable sitting in the open. At this time he is not as free, and is hiding behind furniture except to eat when I put his food out in the morning.
