My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mai Tai is a 2 year old mix breed girl. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and as healthy as she is going to get. She was diagnosed with an intrahepatic liver shunt. She had surgery to repair the shunt but a liver biopsy showed that she has small shunts throughout her liver.

What does this mean? She needs to remain on a special diet and meds for the rest of her life. She needs to be fed 4-5 home prepared, small meals per day. As long as the protocol is followed, she acts like a normal dog.

She is sweet, friendly, and goofy. She gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids, and is about 40 lbs. She is crate and house trained.

Mai Tai’s lifespan is unknown - some dogs have only lived 2 years, others have lived 13, but she is worth it. If you think you’d like to meet Mai Tai and give her your heart forever, apply with Philly Bully Team!

Additional adoption info

Puppies under 6 months of age must be placed in a home with another young, playful dog within 2 hours of Philadelphia. We typically do not place female dogs in homes with other female dogs.
