What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bert was adopted as a very young puppy after being abandoned in Mexico. He’s a now a 1 year old 80 lb gorgeous mastiff/lab mix, who’s great with all other dogs (neutral to submissive and playful!) and GREAT WITH CATS! He’s wonderful on leash (minimal pulling) and has good recall off of leash. No real prey drive, cuddly sweet and silly. He’s medium energy: he does very well on walks and hikes, but isn’t nutty as a couch potato. He needs a home without young children; he likes his personal space when having a nap (never bitten or come close, but will growl and then move away, and his current home has a young toddler). He is also best with either other dogs or an owner he can be velcro’d to - Bert has a tendency towards (nondestructive) separation anxiety. He would be an incredible dog for: a family with kids over 5, or anyone looking for a big cuddle bug best friend who’s a gentleman with cats and other creatures.
