Additional adoption info

An approved adoption questionnaire is required. Home visits and previous vet records are necessary. Dog adoption fees are $150.00 which includes spay/neuter, microchipping, heartworm test, rabies vaccine, bordatella and parvo/distemper vaccines. Cat adoption fees are $100, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, microchip, test and vaccine for feline aids/leukemia. An additional $50.00 refundable deposit is collected at time of adoption if pet is too young to be altered.

Go meet their pets

We are located at 1 Oak Street, Crawfordville, Fl 32327. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 10 am until 5 pm, Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm.

We partner with Petsmart in Tallahassee, FL on Apalachee Parkway. The store has a cat adoption area with 8-10 friendly felines that are looking for their forever homes. Many of our foster dogs can be regularly seen on Saturdays at the store front entrance.

Wakulla Animal Services serves as both the animal shelter and the adoption center for the county. We handle stray animals, lost and found, bite quarantines and animal control calls for service.
