Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hola friends, My name is Pepe, and my story starts with a devastating tragedy. I was living my life in Tlaquepaque Mexico, a little city near Guadalajara when I lost my human family in a house fire. By some miracle, I was rescued by firefighters and then taken in by a nearby dog rescue where I was patiently waiting to be adopted. But fate had a different plan for me… instead, 4 Little Paws Rescue brought me to America along with 30 other rescue dogs to help us find forever homes. So here I am. Currently in San Antonio Texas with my new foster family while I wait for transport to Connecticut.
I am a tiny 5-year-old Chihuahua weighing 6.2 lbs and I’m a sweetheart. Gentle and always friendly, I have not let my past interfere with my desire to love and be loved. First and foremost, I am a lap dog. Happy and loyal, I love pets and kindness, kisses and snuggles and I will gaze at you with love-filled eyes knowing you hung the stars and the moon. I get along great with other dogs and I'm enjoying some playtime with my new doggy friends, sometimes running zoomies around the yard and batting at doggy toys like I'm a puppy. It's adorable! I'm adorable! I am well-behaved and extremely quiet, almost shocking my new foster parents when I barked once last week. I love to be carried, and my foster dad holds me like a baby in his arms, my tummy exposed, I am very relaxed and trusting. At bedtime, I sleep in a soft-sided kennel with a deep round cushiony bed and some blankets and I get myself all snuggled in the center and sleep like an angel all night long, but I would be thrilled to sleep beside you in your bed.
I’m on an adventure with so many new experiences, new places, new people, new doggy friends, and a brand-new language, and nothing gets me down. I rode on a bus from Jalisco to San Antonio, and I’ll be riding in a Mercedes transport van when I leave for Connecticut next week to meet whoever adopts me!
