Lincoln is a four-year-old whippet/lab mix who is very sweet and affectionate, does well with other dogs, and has been trained in "heel" and other commands like sit and stay. He's extremely fast and loves being outside. I am traveling on and off for the next three years and am looking for a stable and safe environment with a new owner who has experience with dogs that have been rescued.
Inside the house, Lincoln is a big lounge guy, spreading himself out on the couch or in one of his doggy beds. He loves his crate and usually sleeps in it. He rarely barks and is very quiet unless someone is approaching the door. He likes toys but loves affection more, especially belly rubs.
He has shown some signs of aggressiveness towards strangers in the past. He will bark and growl at people he is not familiar with, and had an incident where he "nipped" a newcomer. Once Lincoln becomes familiar, his behavior entirely changes, and he's very docile and loving.
