If you LOVE lowriders like we do, this is the litter for you! MELBA JEAN—lover of dogs, cats, and her humans too too. This 5 month old 22 pound lowrider has settled in to her Maynard MA foster home.
She’s house trained, enjoys her crate time, and is a country girl at heart. She’d prefer forever home similar to what she has now… a canine friend, a yard to romp in, and a cat would be the bonus! Her foster mom says—“We really love spending our days with her. She’s a pro-cuddler (LOVES cuddling!), is very well-behaved, gets sweet kisses from our black cat, and loves running around the backyard with the kiddos.”
Rescue story––Mom was a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. She birthed her babes and they've been home raised in northern LA.
Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. All of our pups come with the following:
- spayed or neutered
- age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months)
- health certificates
- dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives
- new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag
- 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian
- microchip with free registration
- sample of Canidae food that your pup is eating prior to pick up
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
