Go meet their pets

The Mohave County Animal Shelter is open for meet and greets, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM.

We also frequently have dogs and puppies available at PetSmart in Kingman, AZ and PetSmart in Bullhead City, AZ on Saturdays from 10 AM till 2 PM. Cats and kittens are available 7 days a week during PetSmart's regular business hours.

More about this shelter

The Mohave County Animal Shelter is the only open intake facility for an area of 13,200 square miles. We receive approximately 4,000 homeless, unwanted, sick and injured animals per year.

We are trying to set a new standard of live release for all public animal shelters.

Up to 99% of our shelter guests are adopted or transferred to other rescues which are no kill facilities.
