My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is the best boy because he’s dog friendly, great for walks or errands, can entertain himself with a toy in the yard, and will be your most loyal companion! He is super soft, has a wrinkly face, really soft ears, and a wagging tail.

He is affectionate without being in your face all the time. He’s not hyper, he has a very well balanced every level, and He’s easy to have around! He sits well for treats and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. He does great going on car rides and exploring. He will make a wonderful companion. He would even be OK with a condo as long as you can get them out to chase a ball daily, that’s kind of his thing! He will keep himself entertained while you work during the day or just nap until you’re ready to hang out with him. He’s great with matching your energy level.

Fall in love with Milo:

Milo is being fostered with a large female dog. She will act like the boss towards him at time, but they correct each other appropriately and move on. They get along great and follow each other for activities. Milo has been mellow and playful with other dogs as well.

He is about 4 years old and around 60 lbs. He loves to go on walks and or hikes. He is good on the leash, although he may need to be redirected if he notices something interesting.

Watch Milo get love here:

He likes to dunk his head in the water, but has not taken up swimming at his foster homes pool.

Milo loads into the car easily if you give him a little boost and rides like a gentleman. He has no reactivity in the car to other cars or people. He won’t drink the lemonade in your cup, but he will chow down on your french fries.

He is goofy and loves to be loved on and pet by everyone. He wants so much love and has so much to give.

Milo's overall demeanor is relaxed, friendly and easy to handle. He has been easy to train and takes correction well. He doesn't have any food reactivity towards humans or other pups when going near his food while he's eating. At night, he puts himself to bed in his crate when he is ready to sleep, and has the cutest little snore that lets you know he is out for the night.

Milo had leg surgery by an orthopedic surgeon and he is healing up very well. The Rescue splurged to have him fully vetted, and he is set up for success. He enjoys adventures and should not be held back.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
