My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dahila, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. She`s a friendly and cuddly companion who loves nothing more than to snuggle up next to you. Despite her lack of sight, Dahila navigates her world with grace and ease. Her mellow nature and sweet demeanor make her a joy to be around. Dahila also gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to a home with other furry friends. She may not see the world like we do, but her spirit is unbroken. Adopt Dahila and let her show you the world through her heart.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
