Location: Fig is being fostered in Aurora, IL. No out of state applicants, please.
Fig is absolute chonky perfection. You don’t get much better than this baby gorilla who loves everyone and loves life.
Fig came to us from animal control after he was found as a stray. His biggest issue has been trying to get his left ear in better shape. It appears he spent most of his life with chronic ear infections that were never treated. We’ve been working with our vets on it for months and finally have it in a good spot for adoption. Please note, while he’s not fully deaf, his hearing is limited due to the ear issues.
Fig is super potty trained (never had an accident), crate trained but doesn’t need it, dog friendly to males and females, friendly with all humans, big or small and is just an overall gem. He loves his people and will follow his people anywhere. Wherever you’re going, Fig comes too.
He loves car rides but can be vocal when you pull directly up to a car. Not sure if he’s just trying to say “hi” or what but it’s just excitement and happiness.
He’s easy on leash if you use a harness, without a harness he will pull if he sees something exciting, but he’s short and stocky so his energy doesn’t last long. But he’s definitely strong so a harness is a must.
Fig is so content to lay in bed and sleep all day with his people. But he’s also happy to go for walks. He doesn’t need a bunch of exercise though. He’s an 82lb potato that will be an amazing addition to almost any family.
