My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretel is an adorable 4.5 month old mixed breed female pup who weighs about 30 pounds. She has a red and white coat and soulful eyes!

Gretel was found as a stray/abandoned in rural Texas. She cannot wait to have a family of her very own to love after her tough start in life. She loves people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. She is scared of cats, but she hopes one day she can be brave enough to cuddle with one!

Gretel loves to cuddle and be right by your side. She is a very calm puppy.

She is potty and crate trained in her foster home but her new family should be prepared to do additional training in these areas, as her routine in your home will be very different than what she is used to in her foster home. .

She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition.

Gretel's adoption fee will contribute to our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the Midwest. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis.

Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee.
