BROOKS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Brooks        Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd/Flat-coated retriever mix

Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of April 2024          SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight:  58lbs as of April 2024

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven’t seen Brooks with cats or kids, but he can be tested.

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here!

Brooks is Looking For:   A family who will spoil him with walks, treats, and all the toys he can dream of.  Brooks is ready to get out of the shelter and into his forever home where he'll feel loved every single day!

He's hoping to find a family who will take him on lots of adventures - long walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park! Brooks can't wait to make lots of doggy and human friends. And he's super excited to go to doggy school so he can show you how much of a good boy he is!

What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
