My name is Ruby!

Ruby is a sweet active dog, and loves being around people who are gentle, which helps her feel more relaxed. She loves to be pet, loves tummy rubs, and likes to follow her people wherever they go, whether inside or outside. Toys do not interest her, but rather loves to go on walks and explore her territory, and run or walk with her person. She needs the activity, which also helps minimize the development of boredom habits, such as licking. She is estimated to be almost 11 years old now, and we have enjoyed many experiences with her! She loves to sit on our lap or next to us and loves to sneak in quick lick/kisses if our face comes close, and jumps around when excited to play and run. Circumstances in our family do not allow the attention she needs, our daughter is living away from home, and there are projected veterinary expenses we cannot afford. We are looking for a family who would be able to provide the healthcare, love, attention, and activity that she needs.
