Dog Name: Dasher
Breed: Black and Tan Hound Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 6 months
Weight: 26 pounds
Medical needs: Rabies vaccine
Housebroken: Hasn’t had a single accident! Does great in his crate while his foster is at work. No messes. Currently working on alerting when he needs to go out.
Crate trained: Yes – his crate is his favorite place to hang out!
Good in the car: Yes, but he drools a little when riding.
Good on a leash: No, he’s a work in progress with the leash. But I do tie him out in my backyard and besides the occasional tangle he does well.
Energy level: Puppy energy but not over the top. Working on not jumping up to greet friends.
Need a fenced in yard: I use a tie out and he does fine.
Dog friendly: Yes, but food protective
Cat friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Adores my 7 year old!!
Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Dasher is a great boy and can’t wait to find his furever home! He is going to make a great companion. He’s pretty quiet and not over the top puppy energy. He is the best puppy I’ve experienced. He’s a very friendly pup and a little awkward/clumsy. We are working on going up the steps, going down can be quite amusing. He’s very timid but is slowly warming up.
