Why I need a new home

Human health issues (e.g. allergies, sickness)

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner is a big sweet lover who is 8 years old. He is very well behaved, potty trained, crate trained, loves all people. He may sound mean when he barks but he will bark to let you know someone is here and then gives the biggest doggie smile. He does have some unique corks about him we think a new owner needs to be aware of. He does not do well with other dogs, he gets protective over food/bones, and is on Thyro-Tabs for his high thyroid.
Choosing to rehome Gunner has been a hard decision for our family but we can see that he isn’t getting what he needs. To better understand a little, wife has major health problems due to an accident, husband works and is out of home a lot, and two young children. He is high energy and deserves to be ran and played with. Vizsla owners must be aware of this high energy and is a big part of why we want to find someone who can help with this current issue. He is such a lover and would love someone who can devote their extra time and make him a priority.
