What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Pulled from the lake with a shattered front leg, Pancake was feral her first 6 mo. She’s been with us ~2.5 yrs since & bonded well to 2 adults & 2 teens.
She is very smart: rings doorbell to go in/out, can sit, settle, spin, jump up, and stay on command; has AKCS CGC.
Definitely not an alpha, which makes her reactive: on walks, after much training, she has minimal pulling and is calm meeting people, but reacts to sudden movements (wildlife, dogs.) At home she is anxious of strangers, growls & tries to herd them. We crate for safety when guests come over; she settles quickly.
She plays full-on with other dogs at daycare, does not exhibit the same reactivity when with other dogs. Tri-pawed, she still walks ~2mi daily over 2 walks, & enjoys playing with toys.
Pancake will do best in a home with other dogs to learn from, experienced owners and older kids. We love her but our chaotic schedule interferes with consistent training & extended periods of boarding caused reactivity setbacks.
