My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruby, a dog with a heart as precious as her name suggests. Her personality is a delightful blend of friendly, independent, playful, and smart. She has a knack for learning new tricks quickly, showcasing her intelligence. Her playful side is evident when she's chasing her favorite squeaky toy or engaging in a friendly game of tug-of-war. Yet, she also appreciates her alone time, showcasing her independent streak. Her friendly nature makes her a favorite among shelter staff and visitors alike. Adopting Ruby means gaining a loyal friend who will fill your life with joy, laughter, and endless tail wags. She's ready to share her love with a forever family, could that be you? Ruby does not like to have her feet touched and is still learning to share her favorite treats. Because of this, we are requiring that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her boundaries. She may do well with other dogs in her new home after a slow introduction. We recommend that there are no cats in her new home because she has a history of chasing them and playing rough. A consult with our behavior team will be provided to discuss her individual needs.
