My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy, y'all! The name's Lassie, a 2-year-old, 83lb hombre with the heart of a Great Pyrenees and the soul of a Golden Retriever, here to spin you a tale straight outta the Wild West. I rode into PPFT after my partner couldn't wrangle the care I needed anymore. Now, I'm all set for a new adventure, ready to wrangle up some love and adventure with my trusty paws and loyal spirit. So, who's ready to saddle up and ride into the sunset with this handsome cowboy canine?

Well, partner, let me tell ya about my style on the trail. My energy level's like a steady trot, not too wild but not a lazy mosey either, just right for a ride through the mesas and valleys. I reckon I'm good with whatever pace suits ya, whether it's a peaceful stroll or a lively jaunt. When it comes to the leash, I'm a decent walker, though I might tug a bit, so a harness keeps me in line like a lasso on a runaway calf. Getting into the wagon takes a tad of coaxing, but once I'm in, I'm all eyes on the horizon, watching the world go by with a bit of slobber and a whole lot of curiosity. Hiking? Now that's my kind of adventure! I've sniffed around on a few trails already, and I gotta say, I'm a fan. As for fetch, well, I'm more of a spectator, happy to watch the action but not too keen on joining in. Toys? Nah, not my thing. I prefer chasing tumbleweeds or splashing in the water, speaking of which, I reckon I'm a fan of a good ol' dip to cool off on a hot day. So, if you're lookin' for a four-legged companion who's up for a bit of everything, from a peaceful ride to a rugged hike, I might just be your huckleberry.

Now, let me share how I fare with my fellow critters and folks out on the frontier. When it comes to other dogs, I start off cool as a cucumber, sizing 'em up with a glance before warmin' up to the idea of a friendship. Reckon I don't need another pooch by my side, but I ain't opposed to sharin' the range if the need arises. Now, them feline creatures, they sure do catch my eye, especially if they scurry off like a jackrabbit. Out in the open, I might give chase, but indoors, I reckon I keep my manners intact and let 'em be. As for young 'uns, I've shared trails with a sprightly 14-year-old, and I reckon we got along just fine. Even met a young lass at the vet, and I let her pet me without raisin' a ruckus. Meeting new folks? Well, I'm a fan of friendly faces, always waggin' my tail and ready to make a new friend or two. Oh, and 'bout jumpin' on folks? Nah, that ain't my style. I keep my boots on the ground and greet folks with a gentle nudge, just enough to say howdy without causin' a fuss. If you're lookin' for a four-legged companion who's friendly with critters and cowpokes alike, I might just be the trusty steed you're searchin' for.

Well, partner, let me tell ya 'bout my house manners, western-style. First off, I ain't much of a city slicker. A cozy apartment ain't my cup of cowboy coffee; I reckon I need some wide-open spaces to roam and stretch my legs proper-like. Now, when it comes to takin' care of business, I'm as reliable as a well-trained mustang. Potty-trained and kennel-trained, I know how to mind my manners around the homestead. Ain't no chewin' on things other than my trusty toys or diggin' up trouble in the yard; I prefer to keep things tidy like a well-kept barn.

Well, partners, there you have it - the tale of Lassie, the cowboy canine lookin' for a home as vast and adventurous as the open range. With energy like a trot through the prairie, manners as steady as a seasoned wrangler, and a heart as big as the western sky, I'm ready to lasso up some love and loyalty in a new homestead. So, if you've got a trail that needs treadin', a campfire that needs a companion, or a heart that's longin' for a four-legged friend, reckon I might just be the right fit for ya. Let's saddle up, hit the trail, and ride into the sunset together, partners. Yeehaw!

Until next time folks
Lassie
