My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Spaghetti, a puppy full of charm and joy! At 5 months old and 35 pounds, this sweetheart is a bundle of love and happiness.

Spaghetti is not just your average pup; she's very smart, crate trained, almost fully potty trained, sleeps through the night and remarkably well-behaved for her age. With no separation anxiety she is affectionate and playful, adores giving kisses and engaging in fun-filled play sessions.

She is currently fostered with a 7 and 10 year old and does well with them. While she's diligently learning not to jump, her youthful spirit and enthusiasm are sometimes hard to contain. As a true hound at heart, Spaghetti revels in outdoor adventures, whether it's following tracks or simply frolicking in the yard.

Despite her great energy outdoors, she seamlessly transitions to a calm, composed demeanor indoors, happily lounging on the sofa and mirroring your energy levels. Quick-witted and eager to learn, Spaghetti is food-motivated, making training sessions effective. Although city walks may still be a bit daunting, she's steadily gaining confidence with each outing. Her preference currently is for backyard explorations and forest hikes. Tail-wagging and ready for her forever home, this delightful pup would thrive in an active family setting, suburban life, or even as a skilled hound dog.

Currently fostered in Jersey City, NJ Spaghetti eagerly awaits the perfect family to call her own. Her adoption fee is $500.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
