My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:1/8/2023

Description:

Hello there, I'm Benito! I'm a sweet, friendly boy who's always up for a game of chase-the-mouse or a round of wand-toy acrobatics. My curiosity knows no bounds, and I'm always ready to explore new nooks and crannies. After a long day of play, there's nothing I love more than a good cuddle. I've got a knack for making people laugh with my funny antics. I'm FIV+, but don't let that deter you. I can live a long, healthy life with the right care. My playful spirit, intelligence, and affectionate nature make me the perfect companion. Adopt me and let's create wonderful memories together!

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, playful, curious

Favorite Place to Sleep: Cat tower, bed or couch

Favorite Toy: Mouse toys and wands

Kitty's Likes: Loves to be petted and held.

Kitty's Dislikes: Too much belly scratching

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Pet me and give me treats.

  • Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown

  • Good with Children: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any children.)

  • Companion Animal: Not necessary.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Benito is FIV positive which is not contagious to other cats.  FIV positive cats live with FIV negative cats.  Learn more about FIV .

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
