Hi, I'm Isla! I'm an Aussie Doodle puppy with a heart as soft as my fur and a timid spirit that melts away in the warmth of love. At first glance, I may appear reserved, hesitating to approach new faces and uncertain of unfamiliar surroundings. Yet, beneath my timid exterior lies a heart overflowing with sweetness and affection, waiting to be uncovered with patience and gentle encouragement. After a little initial trepidation, I do well with people of all ages. I also love other dogs, as long as they aren't too scary! I should be fine with friendly cats too. I'm a sweetheart who can't wait to join my new family for walks, playtime, playdates with other dogs, and lots of naps on the couch! The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!
WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time. We adopt to the following counties in IL: DuPage, Cook, Lake, McHenry, Will, Kane & Kendall. If you are a pet owner, check out the Resources tab on our website!
