My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy, energetic, and independent describe this guy. Grayson is about 10wks old. He's working hard in his foster home to learn how to be a good house guest. He's doing well with crate training given his age. He's still very young and will need consistency to get him there. Grayson's ideal home will be one that would enjoy training classes and working on obedience. He has an independent nature and often likes things to go his way. He also loves to be outside when the weather is nice, so for this reason, combined with his ability to completely tune you out, a secure fenced yard will be required for Grayson. Grayson is smart, very food motivated and should excel at obedience or working dog adventures. He loves other dogs and will probably be happiest with a kind and patient companion. Approve Application

We review and approve applications prior to setting up meetings, as our dogs and some of our cats are in foster homes.

3.
Meet the Pet

After approval, we will set up a meeting to decide if this is the right pet for you. Usually adoptions can be finalized that day!

Additional adoption info

We require a completed application and references. Our fees cover the vetting we have in our pets for adoption. We are looking for loving family homes who are wanting to adopt a new indoor family member.

You can visit our adoptable cats at our used book store/ cat adoption center, Cat Tales, located at 601 N Charles St. Portland, IN.
Our adoptable dogs are all in foster homes, so we schedule appointments to meet them once applications are approved.

MPR is located in Portland, IN and we help homeless, abandoned, stray and unwanted pets in East Central Indiana. We are focused on helping animals in need, as well as educating the public on responsible pet ownership.
