Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Percy the plott hound mix puppy! Percy is excited to find a loving home. At 13 weeks old and weighing 21 pounds he has a gorgeous brindle coat. Percy is diligently working on his crate and potty training, showing improvements daily. He's comfortable sleeping alone in his crate at night and enjoys spending time with the fosters four-year-old son under close supervision, as he's still learning to curb his puppy play-biting. Because of this he would probably do best in a home with older kids.

He hasn't had the chance to meet any cats yet. When sleepy, Percy loves to snuggle up by your legs and adores being petted. He's also a quick learner, picking up commands like 'sit', 'down', 'come', and 'crate' with great enthusiasm, thanks to his food motivation. He will most likely grow to be a medium size dog when fully grown.

Percy has been neutered and microchipped, and he's up to date with his age-appropriate vaccinations. He's also been treated with flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. Ready for adoption now. Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
