Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy! I am Rom (named after the Ferengi on Star Trek!). My brothers and I were rescued from some pretty horrible conditions. When POET saved us, we were filthy and starving, and where covered in urine scald. They cleaned us up, gave us lots of yummy food and even better lots of love and kisses. We are still healing, but will be able to go home in a few weeks.
I am the goofy one of the bunch, and always make my foster mom laugh at my antics! I am great with other dogs, kids and even cats. i will be microchipped, neutered and vaccinated prior to going home. . I would do well in most homes, but due to my breed I do require adopters be 21, own their own home and have a fence. If you are looking at adopting me, please fill out an application at poetanimalrescue.org

We do not have a physical shelter. All animals are in private foster homes and we can not schedule a meet and greet for any puppy or kitten under 8 weeks of age.
We require an application, home visit, vet check, and adoption contract. Fee for puppies with age appropriate vaccines and altered is $275. Dogs fully vetted and altered are $250. Cats/kittens, altered, are $50 for one, or $80 for two. If you are interested in one of our animals, please go to our website at www.poetanimalrescue.org to fill out an application.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit/501c3 organization that rescues all breeds of dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters, animal controls, owner surrenders and strays. We are a small foster-based organization with a loving group of volunteers. We strive to responsibly rescue, provide veterinary care and accurate and honest information to potential adopters about our dogs to match them with the home that will best suit their life style. We also provide them with education and ongoing support and advice to help pet owners keep their animals healthy, happy and safely in their home forever.
