My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marie, a 1-year-old female weighing 45 lbs., is a sweet and gentle soul who has had a rough start in life and is in need of a patient and experienced adopter. She is very shy and timid, but with time and patience, she can learn to trust and blossom into a loving companion. Marie has a fondness for treats, making them a great tool for building trust and bonding with her. It's important that treats are given to her on the floor, as she may feel more comfortable and secure in this position. Despite her shyness, Marie walks well on a leash, showing great potential for outdoor adventures and exploration. While she may never be the life of the party, Marie's quiet and loving nature makes her the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and gentle friend. Adopting Marie may require some extra time and effort, but the reward of gaining her trust and love is priceless.

Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter

Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
