Cookie was given to a family around 5 months ago, after living with another family her previous five years. It turned out dogs and toddlers were too much for her in her new life, and her quality of life was not what it should have been. So her family went from shelter to shelter without assurance of rehoming until they happened upon our small rescue. Cookie was not as shy as they thought she was! Once in the company of our adult volunteers with no other animals or children in sight, she came right out of her shell! This big, gorgeous girl would make a very loving companion for someone who could promise a monogamous relationship with her! Human visitors are fine, she just would like to have her own space when they visit.
