More about this shelter

We are the Habersham County Animal Care & Control. We intake from Habersham County Georgia. We take in strays, owner surrenders, abandoned and abused animals.

We take in approximately 200-300 animals monthly. In order to get them out into safe and loving homes, time is of the essence! Our facility was not built for the volume we encounter.

The shelter provides safe haven for stray and abandoned animals, and makes every effort to find good homes for available cats and dogs. We hope both County residents, and non-residents, will choose the adoption- option for our deserving pets,
