Dog Name: Ezra

Sex: Male (Neutered)

Estimated Breed Mix: Shepherd Mix

Approximate DOB: January 15, 2023

Approximate Weight: 69 lbs.

Description: This is Ezra. He's a very friendly and lovable Shepherd mix. He's usually a little shy when he first meets someone. However, if you give him a few minutes he'll be your best friend. Ezra enjoys going for walks/runs, playing catch, playing with other dogs or just running around in the backyard. He also enjoys relaxing with his humans during the evenings.

He is housebroken, and is very good about letting us know when he needs to go outside. When he needs to go outside, rather than barking, he will knock on the patio door with his paw. He does the same when he is outside and wants to come in.

Ezra has a lot of energy, so having a fenced in yard, for him to run around in, would be a definite plus. Ezra loves going on walks too. He enjoys meeting up with other people and dogs in the neighborhood. He is friendly with everyone he meets. If it's storming outside, then his next favorite alternative to a walk outside, is a trip to Blain's Farm & Fleet (or other dog friendly store) to walk around, meet people and get treats. He gets along great with other dogs as well. We have another smaller dog in our home, and they both get along, and like to play together. But, he would also be happy being the only dog in the family, getting all of the attention.

Adoption Fee: $350.00

***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.

Our Weight Classes are as follows:
0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large

If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:

Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.

If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee.

Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.

If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.

If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right for all.

Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

Additional adoption info

To begin our adoption process, please visit http://www.tailwaggers911.com/howtoadoptapet.htm - there you can read more about our policies, our adoption area and fill out an online application. The applications are good for 90 days.

After being approved, you will receive an email and if the dog you are interested in is available, the foster for the dog will be in contact to set up a meet and greet to determine if this is the correct dog for your family/lifestyle. If so, you could begin our mandatory 5 day foster to adopt trial period, and if you decided to adopt, we would set up your home visit.
