Karev's tail never stops wagging as if to say "thank you for giving me a soft spot to land and a full belly!". Karev is truly the sweetest, goofiest, and happiest guy ever - he's the type of best friend who will be by your side wherever life takes you... keeping you company for long car rides, laying at your feet in the kitchen while you cook, or snuggled up next to you watching a show.
Karev is 6 years old and is the perfect age to spend most of his days napping, while still enjoying adventures! Karev's foster family raves about how much of a gentleman he is; he's fully potty trained, not destructive in the house without being crated, and typically does not even get up on furniture. He gets along great with his dog and cat foster siblings. He knows a few commands and loves giving hugs and being around his people.
Karev's forever home can include other dogs or cats, but likely should not have children. He has a few tough years behind him, and he needs slow movements and patience. He has some resource guarding tendencies (towards people, not other pets as far as we have seen) that can lead to a small growl to say "I'm scared, please back away" that children may not understand. Karev is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment, so with time and feeling better, this will become less of an issue.
