We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption.

Portabella is 1 year old, and about 20 pounds. This sweet girl came to us from a home that could no longer care for her. Her whole world was turned upside down and she was really scared of the world. Now, with a little bit of TLC and worldly experience, Portabella is THRIVING and she is ready to take on a new journey with a new family! Portabella plays well with other dogs, but true to her chihuahua roots, she can be a bit bossy at times. She is just the perfect mix of snuggly and playful and she would fit into pretty much any home that is looking to add a new companion! Could you be her new home?

Please complete our online adoption application if you wish to apply for one of our adoptable pets. Adoption fees range from $125 to $350. All dogs adopted from PAWS come with 1 months of free day care at KCPaws All pets adopted from PAWS will be current on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to their release.

We are an organization determined to work for the benefit of animals in need. Whether it be helping to find new homes for our adoptable friends or working in connection with local and City agency's to investegate cases of cruelty and neglect. We have a large facility and staff that is able to handle a wide variety of these types of issues as well as working with animals with behavioral, socialization, or training issues.
