Training the dog has- Some basic training with me: sit, stay, come, manners with food. Planning to continue to add to this. Very trainable, wants to please.
Dogs likes & dislikes- Loves being with you, playing, chewing on bully sticks, walks. No clear dislikes at this time.
Vetting the dog has- Neutered and current on shots
Dogs temperament- Does great with high energy, young female dogs, not good with senior low energy dogs. Cats unknown. Very friendly and playful but no experience with kids. No food or toy aggression. Lots of energy. Not bothered with storms. Walks well on a leash. Does well in a crate. Enjoys car rides.

To adopt one of our adorable kitty's you must come to one of the designated adoption sites, choose the animal you have your heart set on, fill out the paperwork and pay for the adoption fee, then you are on your way.
Please E-mail us about dogs as they are not kept in store and can rotate adoption locations.

****Please when you come bring either a carrier if you are adopting a cat and a leash if you are picking up a dog.****

Petsmart on Highway 92 next to the Super Target every Saturday 11 am to 4 pm, most Sundays. (Dogs)

The Cherokee Humane Society has been operating for over thirty years as a private non profit animal welfare organization.

We are proud to serve the people and animals of Cherokee County with a variety of programs including adoptions, low cost spay and neutering, low cost vaccinations, assistance with emergency medical care and humane education for people of all ages.

Through our outreach, advocacy and services, we strive to ensure that animal companionship is accessible to all.

We are not part of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. They are a separate entity supported by your tax dollars. The Cherokee County Humane Society is private and receives no local, state or federal support. We thrive solely through our thrift store and your generous donations.
