My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I`m Hank. I`m a bit of a wallflower, preferring quiet corners to the hustle and bustle. But don`t let my shyness fool you. Once I get to know you, I`m the friendliest guy around. I love activities that keep my mind engaged, like puzzle toys and learning new tricks. They say it`s all about `enrichment`, I just think it`s fun. I`m looking for a patient and understanding friend who will help me come out of my shell at my own pace. So, why adopt me? Because I promise, the love and loyalty I can offer is worth every bit of patience.

More about this shelter

We provide compassionate care for nearly 5,000 animals each year. Most of the animals that come to our shelter are either pets relinquished by their owners or stray pets found wandering in the areas we serve. Dogs and cats are the most common, although a wide variety of other animals may be found at the shelter as well, including birds, snakes, fish, hamsters and guinea pigs.
