Callie was found as a stray on 12/23 by my daughter’s coworker’s friend. The coworker knew my daughter loved dogs and asked us to pick her up because the shelters were full. We tried all the standard ways to find her owner but had no luck. We got Callie to the vet and got her shots updated and an ear infection treated. We thought she might be in heat, but the vet said there was no way to tell if she was pregnant at that stage. We have never raised a female dog before and we weren’t sure in Feb. if she might be pregnant. We took her to the vet on 2/19 and she actually had the pups that night. She had 6 perfect pups! We have gotten homes for 4 of them and are looking for homes for the other 2. Callie is a beautiful girl. The vet thinks she is just under 2 and this is her first litter. She is smart and easily trained. She doesn’t like our 3 older male dogs but that could be due to the pregnancy. She needs a home with someone who can give her exercise & love. We are willing to spay her.
