Savannah is a lovely Terrier / Mini Shepherd mix who is approximately 1 to 2 years old and currently weighs 28 pounds. We rescued her (and her sister Camilla) from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico where she came from a hoarding situation. It was very evident that this cutie was not very we cared for in her previous life, but all of that is behind her now. We are so happy that she is here with us and can’t wait to help her find her forever home that will show her nothing but kindness and love.
Savannah is a sweet and tenderhearted gal! She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much so she just needs a few minutes to know that she is in a safe space. She is very treat-motivated and is having fun learning to play with toys. She gets along well with the other dogs in her group and loves to explore and play. Savannah would do best in a calm and patient home without small children where she can get acclimated her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own!
Savannah is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application.
