My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joey was rescued from running around I-35 in Austin, TX. The person that found him was unable to keep him
In his apartment, so I agreed to help out. I thought we might be able to just keep him but we are not the right home for him because we have 3 other dogs and 4 cats. He is fine with the cats and never a problem with them. He would be fine with the other dogs, but one of our mini-dachshunds who is older, does not like him and has challenged him a few times. Joey defends himself and it just doesn’t work in our house. He would be great as an only dog or with one other dog that is submissive. He loves our lab and they play well together. He has been well-trained with a $2500 investment in his training. He sits and heals very well and overall is a wonderful dog, just not in our house. He would even be a great companion for a young adult. He adores our 17 year old son. He really just wants to be close to someone and have a lot of play time. He is about 1 year old.
