My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oats!

This boy is a happy-go-lucky pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. With his mixed breed background, he's a unique blend of charm and personality. Oats has a sleek coat and expressive eyes that will melt your heart.

Oats is the epitome of a puppy - playful, curious, and full of energy. He loves nothing more than bounding around, chasing toys, and engaging in fun games with his human and furry friends alike. Oats is also learning important manners like using toys for play and is eager to please, making him a joy to train.

Oats adores people of all ages but would do best with older kiddos until he gets out of his teething phase! He also gets along famously with other dogs. His friendly and sociable nature makes him a great candidate for a household with other pups or an active family looking for a furry companion to join in their adventures.

Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things to look forward to.

Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in his mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so he can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines.

But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy he will bring into your life.

If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet his cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
